Classics for kids

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWhat do you read to your children? Madeleine cleaned up in the book department on her birthday, and I thought I'd share with you some of my favourites. Aside from a fabulous assortment of Madeline books (including a cutie I'd never seen before, Madeline at the White House), she also received some quite lovely board-books. Like New York City. This is such a beautiful book. The pages are cut out so that layers of the city show through - glimpses of parks beyond buildings, sky beyond skyscrapers, and old buildings beyond the new - just as they do when you look at a city in real life.
